Our most popular driver’s education program. 15 hours of online or in-class instruction, plus 10 hours on the road (behind-the-wheel).
This is a standard government approved driving education package. Upon successful completion, students will receive a driving certificate from Champion Driving, recognized by insurance companies to help reduce future premiums!
Students are encouraged to enroll in classroom instruction prior to starting their in-car lessons. This helps students develop important knowledge on what they will see and do on the road.
Details: For in-car driving education, we offer FREE pick up and drop off from any location North of Southland Drive, otherwise South meet-and-greet location is the Southland C-Train station parking lot. Beyond these locations a $30 pickup fee shall apply. Students must arrange their own transportation accommodations for the weekend in-person classes.
GDL COURSE BREAKDOWN
IN CLASS (15 hours)
Online from you home computer, tablet or phone.

In-personal. Completed in two full-day classes. Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 4:30PM and Sunday, 9:00AM – 5:00PM. Please call 403-475-9299 to find out when the next in-class sessions is scheduled.We ask students to arrive 10-15 minutes early prior to start time to process payment and complete registration forms, if needed.
A passing mark of 80% or higher is required to qualify for the insurance reduction certificate.
IN CAR (10 or 20 hours)
Scheduled depends on students instructor availability. Split into 2-hour lessons. Book online by using our 24/7 Online Appointment tab or by calling office.
A passing mark of 75 % or higher for in-vehicle instructions combined with 80% in-class is needed to qualify for the insurance reduction certificate.

GDL Package Requirements
Junior High / High School students with class 7 learner permit who have never driven, or driven little bit, or intermediate.
Adults with class 7 learner permit who have never driven, or driven a little bit or intermediate.
Following the 10 or 20 hours of in-car instruction, or prior to the last 2 hours of in-car instruction, students, if ready, may register for the road test. Our school offers a free mock test and will prepare the student for the road test! Students may rent the car for the road test from our school for $90 +GST.

REFRESHER PACKAGE - 2 HOUR SESSION
WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
Those who need to brush-up their driving skills. Nervous drivers seeking to gain confidence on the road. Drivers wanting to challenge the road test but would like more preparation first. Newcomers to Canada seeking comfort and confidence with the Traffic Laws in Alberta and the Calgary Municipal traffic by-laws.
After taking the refresher course, the student, if ready, may wish to go for the road test. Our school offers a free mock test and will prepare the student for the road test!
Please Note: Road tests are not done at the school and must be booked online MyAlberta eServices website. If you have a road test after your in-car session, the drop off point will be at the registry, and thus, you must arrange your own transportation from the registry.
